S14S-150 Studio Light

The CineVeam Studio S14S-150 brings the familiar 1' x 4' rectangular soft light format into a fully integrated studio and broadcast lighting system. Combining flattering bi-color output with built-in DMX and CRMX control, it is designed for productions that require both refined beauty light and seamless integration into professional lighting workflows.

The elongated 1' x 4' shape creates directional softness that is especially effective for portrait lighting, interviews, and controlled edge or rim light applications. Its narrow profile makes it easy to position alongside talent, overhead on a boom, or behind a subject to create clean separation and dimensional highlights without spilling light across the entire set.

As a portrait key, the S14S-150 produces a window-like reflection and elegant vertical catchlight. As an edge light or backlight, its long, narrow format is ideal for tracing the contour of a face or body, adding shape and depth in commercial, broadcast, and narrative productions.

With LEDs integrated directly into the fabric body, the entire surface emits evenly across the fixture, eliminating hotspots and producing smooth falloff with consistent color and output across the full dimming range.

Umbrella-style Quick Deployment System

The CineVeam quick-deploy system opens in seconds using a central pull-and-lock rod built directly into the fixture. Simply hold the center locking collar and pull the rear deployment rod to open the light, just like an umbrella in reverse. Once locked, the exposed 5/8" rear rod provides approximately 14" of built-in mounting length for grip heads, clamps and rigging.

For tighter overhead or studio setups, the rear rod can be removed at the threaded joint located 7 cm behind the locking collar. That built-in 7 cm section is designed to fit directly into a grip head or the included stand adapter, reducing the overall depth of the fixture while maintaining safe mounting.

The removable rear section may also be replaced with an optional 1 m extension rod for boom mounting or greater stand clearance. Both ends include captive safety pins, and the rear end cap incorporates a hanging loop for storage and safety cable attachment.

APPLICATIONS

The S14S-150 is designed for studio lighting, broadcast lighting, interviews, commercial production, and narrative filmmaking. Its 1' x 4' format makes it particularly effective where a traditional square or round soft light would be too broad or difficult to control.

It excels as a portrait key for seated interviews and beauty work, while also functioning as a highly controlled edge light or rim light for creating separation and contour. The slim rectangular design is equally useful overhead, mounted vertically beside talent, or placed behind a subject for precise highlight control.

CONTROL & POWER

The S14S-150 combines app-based control with full DMX and CRMX integration, allowing it to operate equally well in simple setups or complex professional lighting systems. Brightness can be adjusted from 0.1% to 100%, with precise bi-color control from 2700K to 6500K.

Integrated DMX provides direct console control for studio and broadcast environments, while built-in CRMX enables reliable wireless operation without additional accessories. Bluetooth app control is also available for fast adjustment on smaller productions and location shoots.

The ballast supports both AC mains operation and dual 14.8V battery power for use in the studio or on location. The light head uses silent passive cooling for sound-sensitive environments, while the ballast employs a low-noise fan for stable operation.

Available 3 m and 7 m head cables may be coupled together to extend overall cable length. Cable runs up to 14 m are supported; expect approximately ±8% reduction in output at maximum length. Longer runs are not recommended.
