S20L-100 Studio Lantern

The CineVeam Studio S20L-100 delivers soft, omnidirectional illumination in a compact 2' lantern format designed for studio, broadcast, and commercial production. Combining bi-color output with integrated DMX and CRMX control, it provides an elegant ambient source that integrates easily into professional lighting systems.

The 2' lantern design creates balanced, overhead fill that spreads evenly across a room, table, or small set. Its compact size makes it especially effective in tighter spaces where a larger lantern would be difficult to position. The result is natural ambient illumination that fills shadows without overwhelming the scene.

Ideal for intimate interview setups, tabletop scenes, practical room lighting, and controlled overhead fill, the S20L-100 can illuminate multiple subjects while remaining discreet and easy to rig. Included skirt panels allow the lantern to be shaped and controlled, transforming it from broad ambient fill into a more directional overhead source that preserves contrast and limits spill.

With LEDs integrated directly into the fabric body, the entire surface emits evenly, eliminating internal hotspots and maintaining consistent color and output throughout the dimming range.

Umbrella-style Quick Deployment System

The CineVeam quick-deploy system opens in seconds using a central pull-and-lock rod built directly into the fixture. Simply hold the center locking collar and pull the rear deployment rod to open the light, just like an umbrella in reverse. Once locked, the exposed 5/8" rear rod provides approximately 14" of built-in mounting length for grip heads, clamps and rigging.

For tighter overhead or studio setups, the rear rod can be removed at the threaded joint located 7 cm behind the locking collar. That built-in 7 cm section is designed to fit directly into a grip head or the included stand adapter, reducing the overall depth of the fixture while maintaining safe mounting.

The removable rear section may also be replaced with an optional 1 m extension rod for boom mounting or greater stand clearance. Both ends include captive safety pins, and the rear end cap incorporates a hanging loop for storage and safety cable attachment.

APPLICATIONS

The S20L-100 is designed for studio lighting, broadcast lighting, interview setups, tabletop scenes, and small-set ambient fill. Its compact lantern design is especially useful where a traditional soft light would create too much directionality or require more space than is available.

Suspended overhead, it creates smooth, natural fill across a table, small room, or multiple subjects. With the included skirts installed, it becomes a more controlled ambient source suitable for preserving contrast and directing light exactly where it is needed.

CONTROL & POWER

The S20L-100 supports Bluetooth app control, integrated DMX, and built-in CRMX wireless operation, allowing it to integrate easily into both simple and fully networked lighting systems. Brightness can be adjusted from 0.1% to 100%, with precise bi-color control from 2700K to 6500K.

Integrated DMX allows direct control from lighting consoles and broadcast systems, while CRMX provides dependable wireless operation without additional receivers. Bluetooth app control is available for quick adjustment in smaller productions and location environments.

The ballast can operate from AC mains power or dual 14.8V batteries for studio or portable use. The light head uses silent passive cooling to remain completely noise-free, while the ballast employs a low-noise fan for stable operation.

Available 3 m and 7 m head cables may be coupled together to extend overall cable length. Cable runs up to 14 m are supported; expect approximately ±8% reduction in output at maximum length. Longer runs are not recommended.
