S30L-200 Studio Lantern

The CineVeam Studio S30L-200 is a larger-format bi-color lantern designed for studio lighting, broadcast lighting, and commercial production environments that require broader ambient coverage and more powerful overhead soft light. With integrated DMX and CRMX control, it combines elegant wraparound illumination with the precision and system integration expected in professional workflows.

The 2.7' (80 cm) lantern format creates a broader, more enveloping field of soft light than the smaller 2' model, making the S30L-200 particularly effective for table scenes, panel discussions, group interviews, and room lighting. Its circular shape produces even, natural illumination across multiple subjects while maintaining gentle falloff and flattering skin tones.

Suspended overhead, the S30L-200 functions as an ideal ambient source for larger sets and multi-person setups. The included skirt panels allow the light to be shaped and controlled, turning the lantern into a more directional overhead source that limits spill, preserves contrast, and keeps illumination focused where it is needed.

With LEDs integrated directly into the fabric body, the entire lantern surface emits evenly, eliminating internal hotspots and maintaining smooth, consistent output across the full dimming range.

Umbrella-style Quick Deployment System

The CineVeam quick-deploy system opens in seconds using a central pull-and-lock rod built directly into the fixture. Simply hold the center locking collar and pull the rear deployment rod to open the light, just like an umbrella in reverse. Once locked, the exposed 5/8" rear rod provides approximately 14" of built-in mounting length for grip heads, clamps and rigging.  

For tighter overhead, tight spaces or studio setups, the deployment rear rod can be taken-off at the threaded joint located 7 cm behind the locking collar. That built-in 7 cm section fits directly into a grip head or the included stand adapter, reducing the overall depth of the fixture while maintaining safe mounting.

The removable rear section may also be replaced with an optional 1 m extension rod for boom mounting or greater stand clearance. Both ends include captive safety pins, and the rear end cap incorporates a hanging loop for storage and safety cable attachment.

APPLICATIONS

The S30L-200 is designed for larger ambient fill applications where softer, broader coverage is required. Its larger lantern size makes it especially effective for group interviews, conference tables, roundtable discussions, dining scenes, and room lighting where multiple subjects must be illuminated evenly.

Used overhead, it creates a soft, natural pool of light with gentle wrap and consistent coverage. With the included skirts attached, the lantern becomes a more controlled source suitable for preserving mood and contrast in studio, broadcast, and narrative environments.

SPECIFICATIONS

CONTROL & POWER

The S30L-200 supports Bluetooth app control, wired DMX, and integrated CRMX wireless control for seamless use in professional lighting systems. The fixture can be dimmed continuously from 0.1% to 100%, with precise bi-color adjustment from 2700K to 6500K.

Integrated DMX allows direct console control in studio and broadcast environments, while built-in CRMX enables dependable wireless operation without additional receivers or external accessories. Bluetooth app control provides quick adjustment for smaller crews and location work.

The ballast operates from either AC mains power or dual 14.8V batteries for flexible use on location. The light head uses silent passive cooling, while the ballast incorporates a low-noise fan to maintain stable performance.

Available 3 m and 7 m head cables may be coupled together to extend overall cable length. Cable runs up to 14 m are supported; expect approximately ±8% reduction in output at maximum length. Longer runs are not recommended.
