S23S-150 Studio Light

The CineVeam Studio S23S-150 combines the familiar 2' x 3' rectangular soft light format with the integrated control and reliability required for professional studio and broadcast production. With bi-color output, built-in DMX, and CRMX wireless control, it delivers flattering soft light while fitting seamlessly into modern lighting systems.

The larger 2' x 3' format produces broader, more enveloping softness than the narrower 1' x 4' model, making it particularly effective as a portrait key, interview light, or primary soft source for medium-sized sets. Its rectangular shape creates a natural window-style reflection and controlled directional quality that flatters faces while still providing enough coverage for tabletop work, seated interviews, and small group setups.

Unlike a square or round soft source, the S23S-150 offers a more controlled spread and easier shaping, allowing it to function equally well as a broad key light or as a refined edge light when positioned vertically. It provides soft, dimensional illumination with smooth falloff and clean highlight definition.

With LEDs integrated directly over the whole fabric body (except center), the entire surface emits evenly, eliminating internal hotspots and maintaining consistent color and output throughout the dimming range.

Umbrella-style Quick Deployment System

The CineVeam quick-deploy system opens in seconds using a central pull-and-lock rod built directly into the fixture. Simply hold the center locking collar and pull the deployment rod to open the light, just like an umbrella. Once locked, the 5/8" deployment rod becomes a 14" mounting length for grip heads, clamps and rigging.

For tighter overhead or studio setups, this deployment rod can be removed to leave a 2.75" long spud behind the locking collar. That built-in threaded spud is designed to fit directly into a grip head or the included stand adapter, reducing the overall depth of the fixture while maintaining safe mounting.

An optional 40" long extension rod can be threaded into the spud for boom mounting or greater stand clearance. Both ends include captive safety pins, and the rear end cap incorporates a hanging loop for storage and safety cable attachment.

CONTROL & POWER

The S23S-150 supports Bluetooth app control, integrated DMX, and built-in CRMX wireless operation, for easy transition between simple location setups and fully networked studio lighting systems. Brightness can be adjusted from 0.1% to 100%, with precise bi-color control from 2700K to 6500K.

Integrated DMX allows direct connection to lighting consoles and broadcast systems, while CRMX provides reliable wireless control without additional receivers. Bluetooth app control is also available for quick adjustment during smaller productions or location work.

The ballast operates from AC power or dual 14.8V batteries, making the fixture equally friendly in the studio or on location. The light head remains completely silent through passive cooling, while the ballast uses a low-noise fan for stable, dependable operation.

Available 10ft (3 m) and 20ft (7 m) head cables may be connected together to achieve cable runs up to 45ft (14 m); expect approximately ±8% reduction in output at 45 ft. Longer runs may result in elevated cable and connectors temperature and are strongly discouraged.
