DLED2N-D Dedicated 5600K Balanced Light Head

The Dedolight NEO DLED2N-D light head maximizes output in daylight 5600K with beam quality while fitting in the smallest of spaces. Three of these lights can easily fit into a carry-on bag with their DTneo+ ballasts. Like its predecessor, the DLED2-D, this light draws a constant 20W of power from the DTneo ballast to power a mono-color 5600k balanced diode set. This means the light delivers the maximum punch offered in its power rating and class. With the single color chip, accessories like the DPBA-610 Beam Intensifier are even more optimized, and color remains stable in the lowest regions for an LED chip. The DLED2N-D light head features the same beam quality and output as its predecessor. The updated NEO 2 housing has a pigtail head cable connector, and is compatible with all S-size accessories from the DLED2 and DLED3 series.

Unlike open-faced LED lights that require beam-shaping accessories to get achieve any beam control, Dedolight DLED2N focusing light has a manual focusing range of between 50° to 5° (1:7 ratio) straight out of the box. Along with superior beam quality, and the level of control achievable with Neo ballasts, these focusing tools are just getting stronger. 

DLED2N versus DLED3N

Both the DLED2N and DLED3N light heads share the same housing, operate with DTneo or DTneo+ ballasts and use the same accessories. The difference lies in the power output and beam ratios: the DLED2N is a 20W light head, while the DLED3N is 40W. The DLED2N generates less heat, allowing for passive cooling. Since it needs no room for a fan the results show in a broader focusing range and improved light ratios. Lowering the power also allows it to be powered double the time of a DLED3N in a DC setup. The DLED3N, on the other hand, offers more punch all around, including use with accessories.  

DTneo Ballast

The DTneo series simplifies control compared to the previous DT2 series. The DTneo and DTneo+ ballasts offer AC/DC operation, a V-mount plate for battery use, and DMX as a standard feature. The optional AC adapter electronics are housed in a snap-on V-mount battery shell.

The beauty in the DTneo is its auto-detection of which Neo light head model its connected to. If connected to a mono or bi-color light, if identifies the necessary controls and presents them to the user. Use the push/turn knob and OLED display to select between linear or exponential dimming curves, or change color seamlessly without drifting—even at very low dimming levels (0.1 to 100% dimming range). Choose between 8-bit linear or 16-bit advanced control via DMX/RDM protocol, and shoot up to 50,000 fps flicker-free using the high-speed setting. The DTneo ballast is future-proof, with user-upgradable software via USB, and can drive all Neo light heads from 20W to 90W, offering versatile control across the product line.

The DTneo+ ballast supports wireless control via CRMX LumenRadio and Bluetooth.
