The Dedolight NEO DLED4N-BI light head beautifully blends bi-color output in the popular "M" size dedolight light head size. The "M" size light head is in the same scale as a classic 150w DLH4 unit, making it the most popular LED size dedolight to build kits from. Three of these light heads, along with three DTneo ballasts, can fit into a medium sized rolling hard case. Like its predecessor, the DLED4-BI, this light draws a constant 40W of power from the DTneo ballast by alternating between sets of 40w tungsten LEDs and 40w daylight LED's mixed in the COB. This means the light delivers full 40W output at all times, from 2700k to 6600k, rather than splitting power between colors. Unlike previous models of the DLED4, the NEO version has deeper color integrity in lower dimming ranges and in dimming. While the DLED4 also shares a body style with the DLED7N unit, it does so with a smaller COB and therefor has an all-around larger output and scale through the front lens. The size of the COB in comparison to the lens delivers beam optimization to the highest level in the M-size Neo LED models. Its output ratios are higher, more perfect in balance, strength and control. The DLED4N unit boasts a massive 60° - 4° focusing range (1:12 light ratio) that sets it aside from the rest of the pack, including everything else in the focusing LED market (which is already very small).
Unlike open-faced LED lights that require beam-shaping accessories to get a fixed beam angle, Dedolight LED focusing lights provide a manual focusing range of 60° - 4° (1:12 ratio) straight out of the box. The DLED4N-BI light head also features some new housing updates: it is shorter front to back as the chassis connector is relocated to the bottom. The back casing redesign cuts down light leaks even further as well.
Both the DLED4N and DLED7N light heads share the same housing and operate with DTneo or DTneo+ ballasts, using the same accessories. The differences lie in the power output versus beam optimization: the DLED4N is a 40W light head, while the DLED7N is 80W. With more diodes in the COB the DLED7N generates more output and heat making it an actively cooled light. While nearly silent, the larger COB results in more punch and a shorter focusing range of 60° - 6° (1:8 light ration). On the other hand, with a smaller COB, the DLED4N is passively cooled offering more optimization on the beam focusing range, quality and considerably longer use in a DC setup. Due to its beam quality the DLED4N unit also has broader light ratios when using optical accessories like the DPBA-714 unit.
The DTneo series simplifies control compared to the previous DT4 series. The DTneo and DTneo+ ballasts offer AC/DC operation, a V-mount plate for battery use, and DMX as a standard feature. The optional AC adapter electronics are housed in a snap-on V-mount battery shell.
The beauty in the DTneo is its auto-detection of which Neo light head model its connected to. If connected to a mono or bi-color light, if identifies the necessary controls and presents them to the user. Use the push/turn knob and OLED display to select between linear or exponential dimming curves, or change color seamlessly without drifting—even at very low dimming levels (0.1 to 100% dimming range). Choose between 8-bit linear or 16-bit advanced control via DMX/RDM protocol, and shoot up to 50,000 fps flicker-free using the high-speed setting. The DTneo ballast is future-proof, with user-upgradable software via USB, and can drive all Neo light heads from 20W to 90W, offering versatile control across the product line.
The DTneo+ ballast supports wireless control via CRMX LumenRadio and Bluetooth.
