This is probably the single most rented kit in dedolight's history. It contains four DLHM4-300, 24v, 150w tungsten lights with lots of accessories to shape and transform the beam. The KAC24M Master kit features the popular DP1 projector with must have cutting tools (Gobo Holder, Framing Shutter and Iris). The DLHM4-300 Classic tungsten lights output daylight by placing the Dichroic Daylight Conversion Glass filter in the barn-door slot. The loss of output from the Dichroic filter is easily recovered by adding the smallest Beam Intensifier in front (optional). The kit further comes with stands and mounting options covering most rigging situation. With the daylight option and DMX this Classic Master kit is well at ease on today's productions. Packed into a lightweight but indestructible vintage dedolight case, it is ideal for location and studio work.
The Classic DLHM4-300 is among the most popular of dedolights and can easily be found in rental houses across the world. With a 40 year history in the professional lighting industry, this light, built on the foundation of the DLH4, is high up on the aspheric optics family tree. It's arguably the most common dedolight rented as a "master kit" and there is still no other system in its class that can compare to its performance. The optics allow for a completely homogenous clean beam with a minimal amount of drop-off at its edge. There is light where you want it, and outside of that the shadow is exactly where you want it.
Other than the perfection of the beam, the integrated dimming ballast makes this model a popular choice among dedolight owners. The DLHM4-300 features an integrated ballast controlled manually or via DMX & Manual modes on the DLHM4-300DMX. Both models have a built-in AC cable with in-line on/off switch. External power supplies/ballasts required to power the DLH4, its sibling, are not required. The 24v ceramic socket accepts 24v 150w or 100w lamps. Running a low-voltage system provides increase longevity and performance; using dedolights can get 400% more life out of your lamps.
The DLHM4-300 is recognized for its durability, it will not quit until the proud owner is ready to retire. It is easy to service and has a plethora of professional accessories to re-define its function from one task to the next. Wether you need a compact light with tremendous throw, or a pinhead spot on a product label using a DP2.1 or DP1.2 projector, the dedolight "Classics" deliver it all. If you haven't been lucky enough to get to use one of these lights don't let the nickname "Classics" fool you: they can output daylight as well as tungsten color and are even more powerful when paired with the new Lightstream Beam Intensifiers. The native DLHM4-300 set in 4.5º super-spot outputs 808 fc at 6ft and 3,345 fc after dropping the DPBA-714 in front. There are just too many reasons to list why this is still one of the most used lights on any set today.
