Dedolight projection "DP" systems are suited for any situation requiring precision beam control with the highest contour quality.  The DP1.2-MNPL literally transforms COB lights designed to flood into precise and clean instruments. Whether it is shaping beams for interview backgrounds (gobos, blades, textured glass filters), creating a perfect spot with the iris, nailing the perfect glancing kicker, detailing macro product tabletop shots, animation and stop-motion work, the famous DP1.2 "universal" optical projector provides both surgical beam shaping and setup speed. This version, the DP1.2-MNPL, comes with a detachable adapter for any light with a Mini ProLock mount (AKA Mini Bowens) such as the Aputure® 80C.

The DP1.2-MNPL features a universal slot imager compatible with 66mm diameter "M" size gobos (require the DPGH gobo holder), with the DPIR 8-Leaf Iris, with the set of 4 loose Framing Shutters (DPFS) for occasional shutter-work, and with textured effects glass filters. It also features a key-stone correction knob to adjust the image plane when the light is set at an angle, as is often the case. 

If you are done using low-resolution imagers that create chromatic aberrations, color fringing, bend the lines of your pattern, produce noticeable intensity variations and fuzzy edges you'll want to try this professional projection system. Quite frankly, there is no comparison; nothing does what dedolight projectors do.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

DPEYESET - The DPEYESET softener fits in the front of most lenses to control shadows fall-off with amazing results. These filters are not harsh like Hampshire or Frost papers; they allow the shape of your projection to hold while only affecting the edges fall-off.  It is a much more natural and graceful effect than pulling the lens out of focus.  Use the DPEYESET and the Framing Leaves to recreate the amazing lighting of the eyes of movie stars photographed during Hollywood Golden Era.

LENSES - 8 Lenses to fit any situation:  The DP1.2-MNPL ships with the most popular 85mm* lens.  5 more Primes are available: 30mm, 50mm, 60mm* 150mm, 185mm*.  Plus 2 Zooms:  70-120mm* & 85-150mm.  Of course the primes are brighter, but the zooms provide quick resizing of the projection without relighting.  The zooms are time-savers when unexpected changes are required.

Dedolight has always been committed to making the finest tools to shape light. That means you have perfect, homogenous light and absolute shadow exactly where you want. Most imaging projectors, be they gobos, Irises or shutters, cannot seem to get past nasty chromatic aberrations surrounding edges and warping the light beam. In this regard they simply cannot cut perfectly the edges of shapes. 

This is where the Dedolight projection system excels: if perfect homogenous light all the way to the edges is something you want, then this is your system. If absolute resolution and focussing of your shape is something you want, then this is your system. If you want to work faster and get rid of tools to set-up your imager on the light, then this is your system.  It all boils down to a tremendous flexibility to achieve your creative vision within the least amount of time, space and gripping. If you need to produce the highest quality shutter-work, look into the DP2. Seems like a no-brainer, and once you see it for yourself we doubt you'll disagree.

LENSES

Select additional lenses and expand your ability to change the image projected size without relighting. These lenses work with the standard Dedo DP1S, DP1S-A, DP2S, DP1, DP2 projectors.  Lenses with a * are compatible with the DPEYESET.  Specs measured on the Aputure® 80C set to 100% output, 5600K at 1 meter.  The adapter changes the angles of exits by a few degrees from specs published elsewhere.
