THE DLHM4-300
The Classic DLHM4-300 is among the most popular of dedolights and can easily be found in rental houses across the world. With a 40 year history in the professional lighting industry, this light, built on the foundation of the DLH4, is high up on the aspheric optics family tree. It's arguably the most common dedolight rented as a "master kit" and there still is no other system in its class that can compare to its performance. The optics allow for a completely homogenous clean beam with a minimal amount of drop-off at its edge. There is light where you want it, and outside of that the shadow is exactly where you want it.
Other than the perfection of the beam, the integrated dimming ballast makes this light model a popular choice among dedolight owners. The DLHM4-300 has a very strait forward 24v AC mains-operated setup. Alternate power supplies, which its sibling the DLH4 need, are not necessary with this model. The onboard 24v power supply allows to use a 24v 150w or 100w lamps. Running a low-voltage system provides increase longevity and performance; using dedolights can get 400% more life out of your lamps.
The light is built for longevity, is easy to service and has an army of amazing accessories to define its function from one task to the next. Wether you need a compact light with tremendous throw, or a pinhead spot on a product label using a DP2.1 or DP1.2 projector, the dedolight "Classics" can deliver it all. If you haven't been lucky enough to get to use one of these lights don't let the nickname "Classics" fool you; they can be used powerfully with the new Lightstream Beam Intensifiers (see the DPBA-710, and DPBA-714 units). There are too many reasons to list why this is still one of the most used lights on any set today.
