ProFound has made a beautiful, ultra-high CRI rated mini-panel, the Alef15. Weighing only 7oz, and drawing power from a built-in DV battery mount, the most obvious use is an on-board light. The aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum body is sleek, rugged, and well designed. It's ready for any kind of mount starting with a 1/4"-20 threaded receiver on the bottom of the panel. The system can be powered in many ways with built-in 5v, USB-C input, 7.2v, DV battery plate, or used with a 14.4V V-mount with D-Tap-to-jack adapter. With continuous dimming and color adjusting from 2800-6500k, this little light can be adjusted to most ambient light situations. It has a built-in flip-down diffusion layer which softens light beyond the direct 140-diode array. But this light is also is one of the first lights we grab and use for tabletop work. With an extended DV battery it can act as a natural stand and the light can be swept up and move quickly anywhere around the table.
