The new dedolight "NEO" light set includes a DLED7N-BI 80w bicolor LED focusing light head, a DTneo control ballast (for the wireless version see the DTneo+ model), DBD8 barn door, DPLS light shield ring and a 4 ft head cable.

THE DLED7N-BI LIGHT HEAD

The DLED7N-BI bi-color light head is a perfect balance of output power and control. This light is constantly consuming 80w of power from the DTneo ballast and alternating it between two 80w diode sets in the array. This means no matter what diodes (tungsten/daylight) are on at any given time the light is always giving you what you've paid for: not 40w on one color and 40w on the other, but 80w on each. You might have worked with open-faced LED lights requiring the addition of reflectors to get a specific fixed beam angle. Dedolight LED focusing lights are not that.  Out of the box the light has a manual focusing range of 60°- 6° (1:10 light ratio) without any accessory added, just like a camera zoom. Based on this alone they're in a class of their own. If you know the DLED7 series well, the new dedolight NEO DLED7N has the same beam quality and output from its predecessor. The main difference with dedolight Neo is in the back casing which is modified to contain light leaks even better. The head cable connector is relocated to the bottom of the housing.  This redesign makes what was already a compact light head an incredible 30% shorter during operation. The DLED7N head fits the same accessories (M size) as the Classic 100/150W dedolight DLH4, DLHM4-300 and DLH200 200W HMI.

THE DTNEO BALLAST

This is where the dedolight NEO series truly separates itself from its predecessor. Gone are the days when you had to choose between an AC, DC or AC+ DMX ballast from the previous DLED series. The DTneo, and DTneo+ (wireless option) combine all the functions you'd hope for in a single ballast, and more. DMX is standard in all the DTNeo ballasts. As for power options, the DTneo has a V-mount socket with an optional AC/DC adapter disguised in a mini V-mount battery housing. Use the simple push/rotate knob and menu on the OLED screen to choose between a deep, smooth "linear" or "exponential" dimming curve.  Color changing is seamless even at the lowest output settings (0.1 to 100% dimming range).  Similarly dimming down below 10%, usually challenging in the world of LEDs, is step-free. Take advantage of 1000 point 8-bit linear, or 16-bit advanced control (via DMX/RDM protocol). The high-speed setting allows to shoot up to 50,000fps flicker-free.  The DTneo ballasts have an auto-detect feature to recognize and drive all the upcoming DLEDNeo light heads between 20w-80w. That's not a typo. If you wish to invest for the future, the upcoming DLED3Neo unit, the DLED7Neo Infra-red, Ultra-Violet and even the future generations of DLED7Neo, the DTneo commands them all, up to the Neo DLED9. To put it simply, the DTNeo ballast opens the world to an entire new generation of light heads, and the DLED7N-BI leads the party.
