LIGHTSTREAM "PRO CALI" UPGRADE:
Now shipping Lightstream Pro with edge guards:
The 25x25 and 50x50 Lightstream reflectors are now delivered in ProCali version, exclusively in the USA. We've added industrial-grade rubber edges to protect the sides from impacts. In addition, the medium hard rubber provides a positive surface while handling the reflector. This greatly reduces, and even eliminates fingerprints so that the reflectors stay clean even after weeks of work.
50cm STARTER KIT WITH EFLECT:
This is the recommended starter kit of 50x50cm (20") Lightstream Reflectors with a popular twist. This kit combines our best-selling Lightstream reflectors set and the most popular Eflect break-up reflector in one pouch. The large grid silver Eflect reflector is a bendable, multi-mirror, dappled light generator that creates endless looks. All of the reflectors (including the optional #5 Lightstream reflector) fit into the DPRP50 pouch. The 2 included DLR-LOCKs are required to mount both the Eflect and Lightstream reflectors to 5/8" baby-size grip equipment. The DLPR50 pouch keeps boards safe from dings while packed.

LIGHTSTREAM
Using reflectors with regular fixtures that do not focus to a super-spot is like driving a NASCAR at 30mph on the speedway. Lightstream reflectors, when used with dedolight focusing lights and "Parallel Beam Intensifier" lenses (DPBA), offer a systematic approach to reflecting and redefining light. From a single source, it's possible to create multiple light emitters without adding to your power and cabling footprint. The light qualities are outstanding, offering hard and soft looks depending on the reflector index and the beam of origin. The system is brought to life by using a light source with a straight, clean, parallel beam generated by "DPBA" lenses on dedolight fixtures. The DPBAs warp the flood setting of the light back into a powerful straight spot, somewhere between 4° and 8°, depending on the light and DPBA model. The DPBA intensifier lenses can get you up to 550% MORE light output than the fixture produces in its native super-spot. With this new concentrated and precise beam, you can use a #1 reflector to redirect it as is- think of a front-facing mirror, but with very homogenous results. Use a #2 Lightstream reflector to spread the beam of origin to a 12° spot. A #3 Lightstream reflector will shine a 50° flood, and the #4 Lightstream reflector offers a 90° spread similar to but more controllable than a standard bounce board. The creative, professional and economic advantages are too long to list. Additionally, with its very low-carbon footprint, this system helps Productions meet the new 2022 BAFTA Studio Sustainability Standard. "Lightstreaming" with dedolight reflectors and Parallel Beam Intensifiers is simply a game changer.
