Wide-Angle Adapters with 4 multi-axis rotating barn-doors have been available for dedolight fixtures for years. This model is specifically adapted for Bowen's mount lights lights. If you have used dedolights and their accessories before, you know that they are famous for homogenizing and controlling light beams with optics. This optical accessory has 2 missions: homogenizing open-face COB beams at or around an 80º flood (depending on light model), and cutting clean shapes with the rotating barn-doors.
The wide-angle adapter mounts works particularly well with newer positive-locking Bowens mount setups like Apurture and Prolycht's "ProLock" design. Since this is a relatively light weight accessory, it also works well with more typical Bowen's mounts like that of more popular 600d Apurture models.
The Wide-angle Adapter lens maintains a wide flood but homogenizes the beam and allows for much cleaner light cutting. Some open-face COB lights have wider native beams than others. Dedo's Wide-angle Adapter typically maintains, or scales up its beam to an 80º flood while also generating a more homogenous beam with shorter shadow drop-off than typical barn-doors.
Cutting the beam of multi-color LED fixtures with barn-doors is nightmarish, unless you like the rainbow that lines the edges and almost useless shadow drop-offs. This Wide-angle Adapter greatly reduces color fringing when cutting the beam. If cutting with barn-doors is important to you, this optical accessory gives you much more meaningful results than manufacturer's barn doors.
Of course this Dedolight accessory could not have boring barn-doors. It features 4 multi-axis rotating barn-doors so that you can create trapezoidal shapes from any angle. This gives you the ability to make trapezoids, rhombus etc from various angles while casting a square on the desired surface. An added advantage is to keep the space between the light and the subject clear of flags.
