After this Dedolight California modification, the DPEYESET-400 fits the DP400-185, DP400-150 (A size lenses), the DPL150 and other M size lenses. 

This is not a blunt diffusion system. It is an edge softening filter set that achieves beautiful results by disrupting the contours of light shapes from your dedolight projectors (see requirements below for lens compatibility). The effects of the filters provide the finest control over shadows drop-off. The results are very different than the look obtained with frost or Hampshire papers. The DPEYESET-400 consists of a set of three heat-resistant polycarbonate filters and their holder that mounts to the front of the projection lens. The filters are numbered 1, 2 and 3 in growing effect.  Once you have shaped the light with a gobo, iris or framing shutters, you can pull the lens to obtain perfect focus and resolution.  You can also throw the lens out of focus for an all-around even diffusion.  But if you want to soften the contours only, instead of the entire field of light, use the DPEYESET. Drop into the holder one "Eye" filter to soften the edges of your shape. Of course you can stack 1, 2 or all 3 filters together in front of the lens to tailor the effect you desire.  If you want the heaviest of contour softening, we offer a second #3 filter as an option. Some famous Directors have been known to add scratches to the polycarbonate filters to achieve the exact look they were looking for.  This smart accessory is called the "DP Eye Set" because it was first designed to highlight only the eyes of Hollywood Stars with great control in closeups.  Whether you are lighting a face, a product label or doing tabletop work, this is a must-have in your bag of tricks.
