10" Fresnel Focusing lens kit for Orion 675 FS, with 8-leaf Barn-door and case.
Focusable from 15° - 50°, the Prolycht Fresnel lens modifier gives more control over this open-face light source and more output than the fixed angle reflectors. It is a handy affordable way to increase control over the beam. Specifically: Set at 675W, from 5 meters (16.5 ft), the bare light outputs an 80º beam of 77 fc intensity. The 30º Reflector outputs 408 fc (5 times) while the Focusing Fresnel Lens set to 30º outputs 649 fc (8.5 times). The large detachable barn-doors extend 12" out and are ideal to mount various diffusion material in front to homogenize and soften the raw beam. The Fresnel is bigger in diameter than the housing of the light. If you don't want the light's weight resting on the fresnel when set on the floor or on a table we strongly recommend using the Extended Base "riser" to remedy this. This Fresnel + Barn-door kit comes in a Prolycht semi-hard case.
NB: The Prolycht 10" Fresnel Focusing lens is not compatible with the Orion 300FS.

- ProCali Modified Extended Base Riser (PL50011-DC) - Keeps the Fresnel lens off the floor when the 675 FS is laid on a flat surface. The ProCali modification of the riser makes it collapsable, and the interior of the factory case is adjusted to also house the riser with the fresnel and barn door.

The exciting news is the arrival of the Dedolight 1:4 Zoom (non-Fresnel, of course) also is compatible with both the Orion 675 FS and Orion 300 FS. For the most demanding users, Dedolight precision optics homogenize the beam of the Orion open-face lights as well as boost their intensity. As we all know the bigger the glass, the more expensive the lens, but since it is compatible with both the Orion 675 FS and 300 FS, the Dedolight Zoom is an investment worth considering, even for budget-conscious productions. The 675 FS has a ProLock Bowens S Mount specifically designed to accommodate the heavier Dedolight accessories and keep their critical optical center aligned with the COB.
